Parc Zoologique de Champrepus

The Roc des Harmonies

The Roc des Harmonies invites visitors to take a colourful voyage to wonderland... This unique setting combines animals and minerals, and gives them a magical appearance. Alligator Bay

At the foot of Mont Saint-Michel, discover : The alligator glass-house and experience an adventure full of sensations. Parc Zoologique Cerza

Discover some 600 different wild animals over a surface area of over 50 hectares devoted to the breeding and reproduction of endangered species. Park visits to discover African animals and the wild valley via 2 walking routes and safari train excursions. Snack bar, restaurant and picnic area. Entertainment.

Parc Zoologique de Jurques

In the heart of this 15ha wooded park, take off for an adventure amidst some 650 exceptional wild animal species such as the extremely rare white lion. A total change of scenery awaits you in the African, South American and Australian plains, the land of the wolves, the reptile village and the 'African mountains': a platform overlooking a 40 metre-deep quarry, where you can admire over forty animals (mandrills, Barbary macaques and mouflons). In the summer season, you can even touch the snakes or watch the penguins, the wolves and the monkeys feed. Mini-farm, play areas, inflatable structures, cafeteria, boutique. Gates close 1h30 before closure of the zoo.

Parc Festyland

The Tourist Train

Take a journey through time: from Port-Bail to Carteret, 10 km, the length of the Island Coast, facing the Channel Islands, step aboard the Cotentin Tourist Train with its 1930's carriage, pulled along by a 1950's antique diesel locomotive which was lovingly restored by volunteers from the ACTM (Local tourism and railway association).

In the summer, it's a practical and fun way of getting to the various markets in the Côte des Isles area. The market trains run on Tuesdays (Port-Bail market) and Thursdays (Carteret market). Take a Sunday outing with the family and hop on the afternoon train which leaves from Port-Bail. Also, with the tourist train, you'll be doing your bit for the environment! Booking is required for all trains and can be made at the Tourist Information Office.
All year round, you can also have a bite to eat on board, either in one of the theme trains, or as part of a group trip.

La Cité de la Mer (Cherbourg Aquarium Complex)

Come and visit a unique site where you will be taken on a fantastic journey discovering man's quest to conquer the great depths of the sea. 3-5 hours to discover a whole new world:

The Cité de la Mer is located in Cherbourg's old Transatlantic Harbour Station.
You can buy your tickets at the Tourist Information Office, which will avoid queuing when you get there.

Mountain Biking and Walking

There are 5 marked mountain bike routes around the Port-Bail area. They vary in length and difficulty, ranging from 20km to 50km. They link up with the Barneville and the St Sauveur le Vicomte routes.

Using the green routes (former railway tracks), you can travel around the department starting off from Port-Bail. Pick up the guide at the Tourist Information Office or on the website

You can also go for walks along one of the discovery routes. You'll discover all the local and natural secrets around the area. There are six routes around Port-Bail, Denneville, Fierville les Mines, St Lô d'Ourville, Lindbergh Plage and Canville la Rocque, each around 5 kilometres long.

Equestrian Centre

Discover the joys of horse riding!

Whether you're a beginner or an experienced rider, there are many activities on offer all year round: rides, harnessed riding, lessons, competitions, official testing. The pony club welcomes young riders aged 4 and over. We offer them specially designed lessons, courses and rides.

With the beach very close by, they'll be able to practise horse riding in all conditions. A large covered carousel, two sand pits, a comfortable club house and a restaurant - all part of an old renovated Norman farm.
